I have just returned from 8 months in Uganda conducting my field research in Gulu.  I am very appreciative to the community for all their generosity and kindess.  The stories they shared touched my life and have given me a much deeper understanding of savings and loan groups and the great successes they bring to the community.  In the coming weeks and months I will be posting excerpts from my thesis, and when I return to Gulu in May 2014 will begin doing collaborative posting with some of my friends and research associates there.
